HomePage1Children’s ministry work began in Tembisa, Gauteng in July 2008.  The work of KGM was introduced and schools were asked if they would be interested in children’s ministry within their schools.  They were given the option of assemblies or afternoon Bible Clubs.  The schools which were interested were:

  • Isiziba Primary (afternoon club)
  • Thuthuka Primary (afternoon club)
  • Endulweni Primary (afternoon club)
  • Welamlambo Primary (an assembly once a month)
  • Nyiko Primary  (assembly)
  • Siphiwe Primary  (assembly)

NPO and PBO Status

HomePage2The organisation became an NPO (Non-Profit Organisation) and PBO (Public Benefit Organisation) in 2010.

After two years, Gayle asked to have her own clubs.  She took on Mashemong and Inxiweni Primary.  Both her clubs stopped when she was no longer able to help in Tembisa from 2012 due to further commitments in another ministry within our Church.  Nthabiseng in 2011 asked if she could begin her own club.  She did two terms at Siyazigabisa Home of Hope and then moved across to Phuthumani Primary, which was the primary school she attended. She held Bible clubs each Saturday afternoon of term time.

Jenni continued with her schools but stopped at Thuthuka and Isiziba Primary in 2012.   Mrs Baloyi began a Bible club at Nyiko Primary on Thursday afternoons and Mrs Mokgatlane took over the Bible club at Isiziba Primary.  From September 2102 Manha Gomera continued with the Isiziba Bible club on Tuesday afternoons due to the educators commitments with afternoon school meetings.

Continued Grace

One can see the powerful hand of the Lord upon His work from 2008.  Scripture verses which come to mind:

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations

Hebrews 4:14–16  Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathise with our weaknesses, but One who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.  Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we a receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Serving the next generation,
